Strathaven has a number of opportunities for people of all ages to be involved in the activities of our church. Listed below are some of these opportunities in our program schedule. There are also lots of opportunities that are spontaneous in nature, such as our fellowship time after our Sunday morning worship time, casual conversation with one of our members, a visit with our pastor, etc.
Worship:
Sunday Worship Services – A blend of traditional and contemporary elements designed to give you an opportunity to worship God through music, prayer, and teaching from God’s word. Sunday’s at 11:00 AM.
Growth:
Children’s and Adult Sunday School Classes – 10:00 AM on Sunday
Mid-Week Studies –
STAGE Youth – Friday nights are filled with Bible Study, friends, fun and food in this weekly action-packed gathering intended for youth in grades 9 through 12. Fridays at 7:30 p.m.
Fellowship:
Men’s Breakfast – The first Saturday of each month – we meet for breakfast together and Bible study. Coffee is on at 7:45. Breakfast at 8:00. Clean-up at 9:30.
Ladies Breakfast Fellowship – The last Saturday of each month – we meet for breakfast, personal testimonies, and Bible Study. Breakfast at 8:30. Clean-u[ at 10:00.
Outreach:
Special Services: We have a number of services throughout the year that are put on with the idea of especially inviting the community. Some eg.’s are Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter, Anniversary Service, etc. Check our ‘Events’ page.
Chatsworth Community Outreach – We participate with other area churches, organisations and businesses in collecting food bank items as well as money that is used to purchase fuel cards for families and individuals facing financial hardship in these challenging economic times.
Community Garden – Our church has been blessed with a surplus of land. If you are looking for an opportunity to garden we have a number of garden plots that are available for your use. Contact us and we will provide you with a plot and help you get started.
